How to Style "The Boyfriend Jean"

Styling the Boyfriend Jean can be tricky, simply because they are not made to show any curves. However, when used correctly, they can add just the right amount of edge and quirk. Here are some tips to think about when wearing the Boyfriend Jean.

How to Style The "Boyfriend Jean"

TIP 1: NO FLATS:Unless you are a model and have super long legs, do not wear a ballet flat, a loafer, or anything that doesn't have a heel. This type of jean is baggy, straight cut, and does not elongate the leg. If you match a flat to this particular pant you may come off looking like a stump.

Tip 2: ANKLE BOOTS: My shoe of choice is a ankle boot with a nice thick heel. Thin sky high heels don't go with the charm of a BF jean and make you look like you are trying too hard.

Tip 3: CUFF The JEANS: Rolling the bottom part of a BF jean gives the look of a crop pant. It is fun, and quirky and helps to balance the bulk.

Tip 4: LOOSE TEE: BF Jeans are all about comfort, and attitude. Wear a relaxed tee, bf jeans, a loose scarf, natural make up, and watch head turns.

Tip 5: FEMININE  BLOUSY TOPS: Don't be afraid to pull out your light, girly tops. BF jeans work well with such tops, and give the normal "girlie girl" a touch of edge they may normally not have.

TIP 6: CROP TOPS are a cute way to balance the bagginess of a bf jean.
